The November Challenge is run by Voltti (voltti.app). By paying the entry fee you agree to these terms.
Voltti Pro members (monthly, yearly or lifetime) who are 18 or older and have joined the leaderboard. Pro has to be active through December 6. One entry per person and per account. Voltti's founder can't enter. Voltti may refuse or remove an entry that breaks these terms.
The entry fee is $5, paid once. Entries open on October 25 and close at the end of November 15, in every time zone.
Monday, November 9 at 00:00 to Sunday, December 6, 2026 at 23:59, in each entrant's own time zone as set on their computer. Only weekdays count: Monday to Friday, 20 days in all. Saturdays and Sundays are not counted.
Hours are the counted time Voltti tracks for the leaderboard on weekdays: time in work apps while you're active. Apps Voltti never counts (chat, social media, video and the like) don't count here either. Time from every computer on your account counts the same way the board does. Most apps stop counting 2 minutes after your last real mouse or keyboard input. Video calls, coding apps and render and design apps (such as Zoom, VS Code, Blender, After Effects and Premiere) keep counting for up to 20 minutes after it, then stop until you're back. Input sent by software (automation tools, jigglers, scripts, remote control) never counts as you being there. Only time from Voltti 0.2.8 or newer counts: time from an older version on any of your computers is left out.
Any activity made to look like work is not counted, including mouse jigglers, auto-clickers, scripts, macros, repeated input and leaving a computer running unattended. Voltti may remove such time from any entrant's total at any point, and its decision on fake activity is final.
Before any payout, the top 3 entrants' hours are reviewed. Anyone disqualified drops out, and everyone below moves up a place, so the top 3 are always three entrants who passed the review.
The pot starts at $100, paid in by Voltti's founder, plus all entry fees minus the payment providers' fees. The $100 is in the pot as long as at least 5 people join, and the founder doesn't take part in the challenge. It is shared by the top 3: 60% to 1st, 25% to 2nd and 15% to 3rd. Ties are decided by the higher number of challenge weekdays with at least 4 counted hours, then by who reached the final total first.
The three winners are told by email and in the app within 7 days of the end of the challenge, and paid by bank transfer or PayPal once their details are verified. Any taxes on a prize are the winner's to handle.
Entry fees can be refunded in full until the end of November 6, two days before the challenge starts: email support@voltti.app from your Voltti account's email with your username. From November 7 there are no refunds, including for disqualified entries. If Voltti cancels the challenge, every entrant is refunded in full.
The challenge needs at least 5 entrants. If fewer than 5 have joined when entries close at the end of November 15, there is no cash-out: the challenge is cancelled and every entrant is refunded in full.
The challenge board shows your username, photo and counted weekday hours. Anyone who types your username on this page sees the details already public on the leaderboard (photo, the month you joined, Pro or Free, this month's hours and rank, Mac or PC) and whether you've entered. Nothing you type in other apps is ever recorded. See the November Challenge part of the privacy policy.
Voltti may correct mistakes in these terms before November 9 and will tell entrants by email. Questions: support@voltti.app.
