Add or subtract as many durations as you need. Get the total in hours and minutes, decimal hours and total minutes, and multiply it if you want. No signup.
If the times you add up are hours at your computer, Voltti adds them for you. It counts the real minutes in every app and work website on Mac and Windows, with no timer to start or stop, and gives you daily and weekly reports with the totals already done.
Example: that is the sample filled in above. Set the multiplier to 5 and you get 23h 45m, the same task done on 5 days.
This adds up lengths of time, not clock times. To find how long it is from 9:15 AM to 5:40 PM, use the time duration calculator. To total a week of shifts with breaks, use the work hours calculator.
Timesheets and invoices often want decimal hours. Divide the minutes by 60, or use this chart.
| Minutes | Decimal hours |
|---|---|
| 5 | 0.08 |
| 10 | 0.17 |
| 15 | 0.25 |
| 20 | 0.33 |
| 25 | 0.42 |
| 30 | 0.50 |
| 35 | 0.58 |
| 40 | 0.67 |
| 45 | 0.75 |
| 50 | 0.83 |
| 55 | 0.92 |
| 60 | 1.00 |
Add all the hours, then add all the minutes. Every 60 minutes makes one more hour. 1h 40m + 2h 35m is 3 hours and 75 minutes, which is 4h 15m. Type each one into a row above and the total updates as you go.
Switch a row to minus. If you take more minutes than you have, borrow an hour: 5h 10m minus 1h 30m is 4h 70m minus 1h 30m, which is 3h 40m.
1.75 hours. 45 minutes divided by 60 is 0.75. The chart above lists the common values, and the calculator shows decimal hours for any total.
Yes. If you subtract more than you add, the total shows with a minus sign, like -0h 30m.
It repeats the total. If a task takes 1h 20m and you do it 6 times, enter 1h 20m and multiply by 6 to get 8h 00m. It works with decimals too, like 1.5.
Your rows stay in your browser so they're still there when you come back. Nothing is sent to a server.
If you work on a computer, yes. Voltti for Mac and Voltti for Windows record every real minute in your apps and work websites, with no timer to start or stop. The free plan includes automatic tracking.
